It is now possible to play NES games in a browser. There is a link in the modal for each game that you can click on to be redirected to the NES emulator page. The selected game is automatically loaded in the emulator when redirected.
Not all games in the catalog are supported by the emulator so you will not find buttons on every game page. I have implemented the most common mappers so most of the existing NES games are playable. You can visit the nes-emulator project on my GitHub or read the FAQ if you want to know which mappers have been implemented.
I have no intention of making the most accurate emulator. There are already lots of other good emulators out there. I just wanted to make a JavaScript project and chose to do a NES emulator. It is a fun project to do because you see instant results, cover many aspects of JavaScript, and is rewarded with the possibility of playing old classics!
